With his win at the 2007 US Open, Federer has now 12 major titles, two less than Pete Sampras' record and putting him ahead of Bjorn Borg and Rod Laver's.Federer is also the first man since Bill Tilden in the 1920s to win the US Open four straight times. He also won Wimbledon five straight times.
